PhenigmaNew and traditional Celtic music from Ireland, Scotland and QuebecPHCD 101 Phenigma, a Montreal-based band active from 1990-1996, explored all the moods and colours of the Celtic tradition. The band was founded by Jean Duval (flute and woodwinds) and Steve Jones (fiddle), with Golo (guitar), Lynda Kathan (keyboards), and Scots-Gaelic singer Sìne McKenna.
The band's material was also unique, ranging from songs in Scots Gaelic and English, to rare airs and dance tunes (including a number from the repertoire of Packie Manus Byrne) plus some fine new compositions by Jean Duval and Steve Jones.
